Hauler

What is the Veer Hauler?

The Veer Hauler is a modular gear-hauling system for families, built on an aircraft-grade aluminum frame rated to pull up to 500 lbs, or push up to 300 lbs on smooth, hard, flat ground.

Can kids ride in the Hauler?

No. Hauler is built to carry gear—coolers, chairs, beach setups, sports equipment, farmers market hauls, the big stuff. It isn't child safety certified; for that, see the Cruiser stroller wagon.

How much can the Veer Hauler carry?

The Hauler is rated to pull up to 500 lbs, or push up to 300 lbs on smooth, hard, flat ground. That figure is what the frame will carry—what you can actually move depends on where you're rolling.

Does the Veer Hauler work on sand, grass, gravel and trails?

Yes. The Hauler offers a Beach Wheel Kit with balloon tires for soft sand, a High Performance Wheel Kit with pneumatic tires for trails and soft-tread, chatter-free wheels standard for everywhere else.

Will the Veer Hauler fit in my trunk?

Yes. The frame folds flat in one step with one hand, and the wheels quick-release with one touch for even more storage space.

How is the Hauler different from the Cruiser?

Different jobs. The Cruiser carries kids: certified safety features, compatible with Veer's kid accessories, built around a child from infancy to beyond.

Why choose the Veer Hauler?

Because it's a system, rather than a box on wheels you fill and empty every trip. SmartBins drop on already packed and lift off still packed, so the beach kit, the sideline kit and the camp kit each live in their own bin between outings.

What does Hauler's 500 lbs rating actually mean?

It's what the structure (frame, axles, wheels and bearings) will carry—measured on hard, level ground. It isn't a promise that 500 lbs is manageable everywhere.

How should I load and move the Veer Hauler?

Heavy stuff goes low, on the SmartDeck or bottom bin. Gear gets lighter the closer to the top of the SmartBins. Keep the weight even side to side, and use bungees when stacking or the ground gets rough, so the Hauler stays planted on turns and curbs.

How do the SmartBins and SmartDeck work together?

SmartBins organize the gear you want to keep packed and ready, while the SmartDeck carries what won't fit in a bin.

What is a SmartBin?

Its feet intuitively seat into the SmartDeck, so a single bin sits secure on smooth, level ground without being strapped down. Anywhere else—sand, grass, gravel, a route that pitches—use a bungee.

Can I use storage bins I already own with Hauler?

Yes. The Hauler is designed to work with standard household bins from Rubbermaid to Sterilite, in addition to Veer SmartBins.

Can you push and pull the Veer Hauler?

Yes, and you can switch between them at any time. Pull, and the Hauler tracks behind you, which gives you leverage when the load is heavy or the ground goes soft.

How do you store the Veer Hauler?

The Hauler hangs on a garage wall by its wheel axle using the Veer Garage Hanger, and SmartBins stack on the floor or a shelf.

Can you attach the Veer Hauler to a bike?

Yes, with the Bike Connector Kit. A quick-release skewer replaces the standard bolt on your bike's rear axle and becomes the pivot the tow arm hitches to, while a receiver beneath the Hauler's left rail takes the other end on a cotter pin.

Can the Veer Hauler be used as a table?

Yes. The Tabletop secures onto a SmartBin and turns the loaded Hauler into a serving surface, so food and drinks come out without any unpacking. It is sized to match the bin and sold separately.

Can the Veer Hauler carry folding chairs?

Yes. The Hauler Rack holds folding chairs on the frame so they ride along with everything already loaded in the bin. The Hauler Rack is sold separately.

What is the Veer Hauler used for?

Pack one. Roll everywhere. The Hauler is a modular gear hauling system built for family movement—garage to car, parking lot to sideline, driveway to beach, campsite and back again.

How do I clean Hauler?

The Veer Hauler is built to take on sand, mud and gravel, so a quick hose wash and air dry is mainly the upkeep it needs.

What Veer accessories are compatible with Hauler?

The Hauler works with a growing system of accessories including Veer SmartBins (Small and Large), Tabletop for SmartBin, Hauler Rack, Bungee Kit, Tie Downs, Tailgate for Hauler, Beach Wheel Kit, High Performance Wheel Kit, Bike Connector Kit, Large…

What Cruiser accessories are compatible with Hauler?

Select Veer accessories work across Hauler and Cruiser, making it easy to keep the gear you already use moving with your family. The Beach Wheel Kit and High Performance Wheel Kit fit both the Hauler and Cruiser, so one kit can move between them.

What comes in the box with the Hauler?

The Hauler frame with its built-in SmartDeck, one Large SmartBin and two Small Hauler Bungees sized perfectly for a single bin.

Does the Hauler require assembly?

Hardly, and no tools. Unfold the frame, slide each wheel in until it clicks, snap the SmartBin's walls into place and find its feet into the SmartDeck. Next minute, you're rolling.

Is the Hauler's handle adjustable?

Yes—in angle and in height. Set it down to 39" or up to 43" so it's the right height whether Mom or Dad is at the helm. To adjust angle, pull the two prongs up on the handle to lower it for pulling, then lock it upright for pushing.

Does the Hauler have a brake?

Yes. A one-touch foot brake—easy on the toes, and it holds a full load on an incline. Tap the release button with your toe to unlock and roll on.

Do the Hauler's wheels need air?

Not the standard ones included in the box. Made of polyurethane, they're air-free, never flat and chatter-free due to the soft tread.

Can I use the Hauler in the snow?

Yes—pull it. Pulling is what gets a loaded Hauler through anything soft, and the standard soft-tread wheels pull through packed snow the way they pull through grass and gravel.

Can I leave the Hauler outside?

It can get wet—it's built to be hosed off—but it shouldn't live outdoors. Sun, rain and damp storage wear on any gear over time, and damage from that kind of storage isn't covered by the warranty.

Can I use the Hauler around the house—yardwork, groceries, moving things?

Yes. The SmartDeck takes the bulky stuff (bags of mulch, a box that won't fit in a bin, the cooler), and wide loads can overhang the sides without touching the wheels. The SmartBin can take your groceries from your trunk to the kitchen counter.

Will my cooler fit on the SmartDeck?

The Hauler's 36" x 19" body was designed for common coolers. Rather than riding on a flat edge, coolers nest a step below the frame rails. A wider cooler can overhang the sides without touching the wheels.

Can I stack a SmartBin on my cooler? Can I stack a cooler on my SmartBin?

SmartBins are made to stack on each other, with the feet of one catching the corners of the bin below. A cooler lid gives those feet nothing to catch, so a bin riding on top can slide.

Why doesn't the Hauler come with fenders like Cruiser?

Because on a gear hauler they only get in the way. Fenders keep small fingers clear of the wheels on a Cruiser. The Hauler carries coolers, mulch and furniture, wide loads that overhang the sides without touching the wheels.

Can I push the Hauler with the Beach Wheel Kit on?

No. Beach Wheels are for pulling only, on the Hauler as on the Cruiser. It's good practice to drop the handle into pull mode before you load up.

Do Tie Downs come with the Hauler?

No. What's built in are the SmartDeck's anchor points—holes and slats across all three panels—which take the two included Small Bungees, or your own bungee, rope or carabiner.

Can I use my Cruiser's storage basket on the Hauler?

No Foldable Storage Basket from Veer is currently compatible with the Hauler.

Can I take the Hauler into a stadium or theme park?

That's the venue's call, and policies vary—many theme parks and stadiums limit what rolls through the gate, and some allow it only in tailgate lots and outer areas, so check before you go.

What is the warranty on the Hauler?

The Hauler is covered by Veer's best-in-class 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, from the date of purchase, under normal use.

How do I register my Hauler?

On the Register Your Gear page at goveer.com. It takes a minute, activates your warranty and helps us verify your purchase when we need to take care of you. You'll want the serial number handy at time of registration.

Where do I find the serial number on my Hauler?

On the axle that connects the Hauler's two large wheels. You'll need it to register your Hauler and whenever you contact Veer about your warranty.

Are Cruiser Wheel inserts compatible with the Hauler?

Yes. Cruiser Wheel Inserts fit the Hauler's large wheels, too, so a replacement set from our Replacement Parts store fits both.

Can I buy replacement parts for the Hauler?

Yes. Replacement parts allow you to extend the life of your Veer gear, and the Hauler is no different. If you don't see the part you need in our Replacement Parts store, email, call or text, or start a chat with us.

Where can I buy the Hauler? Is it on Amazon?

Hauler is available at goveer.com and exclusive retailers.

Can I fly with the Hauler?

Yes. Fold it flat, quick-release the wheels and pack it in a Travel Bag for Cruiser—then check it in like a suitcase.

Does the Hauler come with a cup holder?

No, but the Hauler's handle is just like Cruiser's—above the prongs used to lower the handle, are two Veer mounts compatible with Cruiser Cup Holders, Parent Cup Holders and Catch All.

Does the SmartDeck get hot in the sun?

Less than you'd expect. Any surface warms up in full sun, but the SmartDeck's light finish—the same cool gray we used on Cruiser City—runs cooler than a dark deck would.

Will the SmartDeck scratch?

It's a textured powder coat, chosen to take a beating—coolers dragged on and off, a dog's nails, sand and gravel. Highly durable, not indestructible. Hose it off with the rest of the Hauler.

Do I need to secure my load with a bungee?

A single SmartBin holds itself only on smooth, level ground. Anywhere else—sand, grass, gravel, a route that pitches—a bungee is required, especially when using the Bike Connector Kit.

What is the difference between the Large and Small SmartBin?

The Large SmartBin holds 100 liters, while the Small SmartBin holds 40 liters. Both stack three high, both collapse flat and both seat onto the same SmartDeck. Two Small SmartBins can fit atop one Large SmartBin.

Do I have to use SmartBins, or can I use bins I already own instead?

Hauler's SmartDeck is designed to work with standard storage totes—Rubbermaid, Sterilite and the like. What they do not do is seat into the SmartDeck recesses, stack three high with each other or collapse.

How many SmartBins do I need?

Your Hauler comes with one Large SmartBin, and for most people that's the whole answer for the first season—one bin, packed for whatever you do most.

Does the SmartBin come with a lid?

SmartBins are open-topped, so you can drop gear in and pull it out freely. The bin's walls hold the load, and a bungee keeps it in place on the move (two come with the Hauler, and the Bungee Kit adds a longer pair for stacks two- and three-high).

What is the weight capacity of the SmartBin?

A Large SmartBin takes 100 lbs on its own—50 lbs if it's the second bin in a stack, 25 lbs if it's the third. A Small SmartBin takes 50 lbs, or 25 lbs on a third tier.

Does the SmartBin work with my Cruiser?

The SmartBin is built for the Hauler's SmartDeck and seats into its recesses. It is not a Cruiser accessory. If you own both, the bin travels with the Hauler.

How do I stack SmartBins on the Veer Hauler?

SmartBins can stack up to three high directly on the Hauler's SmartDeck, in any combination of Small and Large sizes.

Can I fold the Hauler with a SmartBin attached?

Yes, but collapse the bin first. The Hauler folds in one step. With a SmartBin on, collapse the bin's walls, then pull the prongs on the handle up to lower it—nothing has to come off, it's just two steps instead of one.

Can I use a SmartBin as a table?

With the Tabletop, yes. It secures onto a Large or Small SmartBin and turns the packed bin into a surface for food, drinks, games, tackle box—without unpacking anything. Sold separately, and sized to match your bin.

What can I fit in a SmartBin?

One size for the big stuff, one for the everyday stuff. A Large SmartBin holds 100L, while a Small SmartBin holds 40L. Use a Large for the bulky loads—sports gear, beach gear, camping supplies—and a Small for the essentials you keep packed and ready.

How do I clean a SmartBin?

Hose it out and let it air dry. The bin is water- and stain-resistant so sand, mud and spilled drinks simply rinse away.

Is the SmartBin waterproof?

Water-resistant. Sand, spilled drinks and wet towels don't soak through the walls or the base, and the bin hoses out and air dries afterward.

Can I fill a SmartBin with ice and use it as a cooler?

No. The SmartBin is a bin, not a cooler. Instead, bring your cooler and let the Hauler carry it: it rides on the SmartDeck under a bungee. For drinks and snacks alone, the Lunch Cooler from Veer hooks onto the outside of any SmartBin.

What is the SmartBin made of?

A hex-pattern ripstop polyester exterior over a 600D polyester base, with a solid board in the floor for real weight. The interior is black polyester to hide the dirt—420D on the walls, 600D on the floor.

How do I set up and collapse a SmartBin?

To set it up, expand the bin and push each of the internal rods out until its clip pops into place—you'll hear it. To collapse the SmartBin, pull the internal rods in until the walls fold down flat.

How do I carry a full SmartBin?

By the handles—there are four, one on each side, so you can grab it from wherever you're standing, and two people can share a heavy one.

Can I use SmartBins without the Hauler?

Yes—that's most of a bin's life. Packed in the garage, stacked three high; stored in the trunk; on the ground at the campsite with a Tabletop on. A Small SmartBin makes a tidy carry-all from the trunk to the kitchen.

Can I use a Small SmartBin on the Hauler by itself?

Yes. Set it at one end of the SmartDeck rather than the middle—let it find its feet so it stays level. Anywhere else (sand, grass, gravel, a route that pitches), hook a small bungee over it, same rule as for a Large SmartBin.

Is the SmartBin safe on surfaces?

Yes, the feet under each SmartBin are designed to be safe with surfaces like floors and countertops whether storing in the garage, or carrying groceries from the trunk to the kitchen.

How tall is the table with the Tabletop for SmartBin?

That is up to you, and it is one of the better reasons to own a second SmartBin. On a single bin the Tabletop sits low—about camp-chair height, good for sitting around with kids.

Which Tabletop size do I need?

Match it to your bin. The Tabletop for Large SmartBin fits the 100L Large; the Tabletop for Small SmartBin fits the 40L Small. They are not interchangeable, so if you use both bin sizes and want a surface on either one, you will want both.

How much weight can the Tabletop hold?

Up to 20 lbs total, spread out across the surface as opposed to piled in one spot. Keep the heavy things in the SmartBin underneath.

How does the Tabletop stay on the bin?

Four built-in toggle fasteners thread through loops near the top of the SmartBin, so it stays put whether the bin is riding on the Hauler or sitting on the ground.

Where does the Tabletop go when I'm not using it?

It folds and stores inside the SmartBin it sits on. So it travels with the bin it belongs to and there is nothing extra to find room for in the car or garage.

Do I need a Tabletop for my SmartBins to stack on Hauler?

No. SmartBins are designed to nest into each other, empty or packed, and stack three-high on their own. The Tabletop can serve as a lid or surface on top when you want one.

Can I fold the Hauler with the Tabletop on the SmartBin?

No, the Tabletop blocks the notch in the bin that lets the Hauler handle fold down. Take the Tabletop off, then collapse the SmartBin and fold down the Hauler handle.

Can I reach into the bin without taking the Tabletop off?

Yes. The Tabletop folds open in sections—a quarter, a half, as much as you need—so the sunscreen or the next round of drinks comes out while other items remain sitting on top.

Is the Tabletop included with the SmartBin or Hauler?

No, it's sold separately, in two sizes—one for the Large SmartBin, one for the Small.

Can I use the Tabletop for SmartBin with the Dog Pad?

If your dog rides in a SmartBin, never cover with a Tabletop.

Can I stack another SmartBin on top of a bin that has the Tabletop on?

Put the Tabletop on the top bin instead. Stacked bins hold each other because the feet of the upper bin catch the corners of the bin below; with a Tabletop between them, the upper bin may slide on a flat surface.

Will the Tabletop for Large SmartBin fit across two Small SmartBins?

Yes. It sits a little looser than it would on a single Large bin, so treat that setup as a table rather than something to roll with.

Can I use the Hauler Rack and a SmartBin at the same time?

Yes—that's the point of it. The Rack carries upright gear on the back of the Hauler while the SmartBin stays free for everything else. Chairs on the Rack instead of in the bin is the single biggest space gain most owners will notice.

What can Hauler Rack carry?

Tall gear that doesn't want to lie down: folded Sideline Chairs and Beach Chairs, balance bikes, boards, duffels, umbrellas. Maximum capacity is 25 lbs from both carry hooks combined, or two folded Veer chairs.

I already own a Cruiser Rack. Do I need the Hauler Rack?

Maybe not. If you already have a Cruiser Rack, a Tailgate converts it to fit the Hauler—you don't need to buy the whole Rack again. If you're starting fresh, Hauler Rack comes with the Tailgate included.

Will Hauler Rack fit my Cruiser?

Hauler Rack is made for the Hauler. If you're carrying tall gear on a Cruiser, Cruiser Rack is the one you want.

Can I still fold the Hauler with the Hauler Rack on?

The Hauler and bins will still fold with the Hauler Rack attached, however, the Rack will not fold down with it. You'll still have to pop out the Tailgate and remove it along with the Rack for compact storage.

How do I keep a load from shifting on the Hauler Rack?

The two carry hooks set wide or narrow to match what you're carrying, and there are bungee attachment points at the top and bottom of the frame.

How do I install the Hauler Rack?

The Hauler Rack consists of two main pieces—the Tailgate for Hauler, and the Rack itself. First, remove the port plugs for the Tailgate, then position each leg of the Tailgate into the ports, but do not push down yet.

How do I adjust the Hauler Rack?

You can adjust the Hauler Rack's height, as well as the width of the hooks. To adjust the height, simply undo the center clasp to slide the Rack up or down to your preferred height before closing the clasp back.

Does the Hauler Rack only carry Veer chairs?

No. It's built for tall gear in general—folded chairs of any make, boards, balance bikes, duffels, umbrellas—up to 25 lbs across both carry hooks, or two folded Veer chairs. The hooks set wide or narrow to match what you're carrying.

Will the Hauler Rack rust?

No. The frame is powder-coated aluminum, corrosion- and UV-resistant, so it takes salt air and sun in stride, and a soft bumper keeps hard gear from scuffing it. Hose it off with the rest of the Hauler and let it air dry.

What does the Tailgate for Hauler do?

It gives a load something to stop against at the back of the Hauler when using as a flatbed with the SmartDeck. Pulling leans cargo rearward, especially on a slope—loose items find the back edge on their own. The Tailgate is where they stop instead.

Do I need a Tailgate if I have the Hauler Rack?

No—a Tailgate is included with the Hauler Rack.

How is the Tailgate for Hauler different from a bungee or a Tie Down?

Different jobs. The Tailgate keeps a load from moving backward when Hauler is pulled or on a hill. Bungees and Tie Downs, on the other hand, hold the load down. With a fully loaded Hauler, you'll usually want both.

Can I mount accessories to the Tailgate for Hauler?

Yes. It's a round tube, so clamp-style holders grip it directly: rod holders, umbrella mounts, cup holders and similar third-party gear.

Does the Tailgate fit Cruiser?

No, it's made for the Hauler. It is, however, the part that lets a Cruiser Rack mount to Hauler, so if you already own the Rack for your Cruiser, the Tailgate is all you need to attach it to your Hauler.

How do I install the Tailgate for Hauler?

Remove the two port plugs at the back of the Hauler frame, set the Tailgate's legs into the ports, then press the push buttons beside the ports until the Tailgate snaps down and locks. Give it a tug to ensure it's locked in.

Do I need to remove the Tailgate to fold the Hauler?

No, the Hauler frame still folds with the Tailgate installed.

Can I use the Tailgate with a SmartBin on the Hauler?

Yes. The Tailgate sits at the back edge of the frame, and the SmartBin seats into the SmartDeck as usual.

How is the Sideline Chair different from the Beach Chair?

Height and posture. The Beach Chair sits low, reclines to lie-flat and has a fold-up headrest—built for settling in for the afternoon.

Does the Sideline Chair lie flat?

No. There are four recline positions, from upright to relaxed, and none of them are flat. That's deliberate. A chair you can lie back in is a chair that's hard to get out of, and the sidelines ask you to stand up a dozen times.

How do I carry the Sideline Chair?

Sideline Chair folds flat and compact, and includes a removable shoulder strap for the walk from the car. It also attaches to a Cruiser or Hauler with their respective Racks, so the chairs ride along with everything else.

Does the Sideline Chair fit the Hauler or Cruiser Rack?

Yes. Up to two folded Sideline Chairs ride on both the Hauler Rack and Cruiser Rack, carried upright on the frame.

How much weight can the Sideline Chair hold?

Up to 300 lbs, same as our Beach Chair.

How do I recline the Sideline Chair?

Lift both armrests, lean back and let them settle into the next position. There are four, from upright for the game to relaxed for the campsite. There is no lie flat setting like Beach Chair.

Does the Sideline Chair have a cup holder?

Yes, and it's included. A textile cup holder sized for a short tumbler, tall bottle or can, hung below either armrest so the wood stays clear.

How do I clean the Sideline Chair?

Rinse it with fresh water and let it air dry. The Textilene® mesh is non-absorbent and mold-resistant, so it sheds rain and dries fast, and the aluminum frame and stainless steel hardware resist corrosion.

What colors does the Sideline Chair come in?

Blue Lapis and Gray Granite—the same two colorways as the SmartBin and Tabletop for Hauler, so you can match and mix your game day setup.

Do I need Tie Downs if the SmartDeck already has slots?

For a single SmartBin, no—the bin seats into the SmartDeck, and the slots along the deck take a bungee hook directly.

Why would I mount a Tie Down facing down?

Because a big load sitting on the SmartDeck covers the anchor points on top of it.

How many Tie Downs do I need?

Eight come in the pack, which is enough to rig the whole SmartDeck with Tie Downs to spare. Most loads only need four—one at each corner of whatever you're securing.

Do Tie Downs work with the Bungee Kit?

Yes. Bungee hooks natively clip straight onto Tie Downs, so the anchor point sits in the SmartDeck slot and the bungee reaches the rest of the way to your load. Straps and cord work the same way.

How do Tie Downs attach to the SmartDeck?

Compressing by hand, into any slot on the SmartDeck—quick release to expand and attach, no tools required. That means the anchor points aren't fixed: rig them for the load you have today and move them when tomorrow's load is a different shape.

What are Tie Downs from Veer made of?

Spring-loaded connectors in Veer yellow with a stainless steel ring, derived from aerospace hardware. Drop one into a SmartDeck slot and it locks; compress it by hand and it releases. The ring is what your bungee hook, strap or cord clips to.

Do Tie Downs fit the Cruiser?

No. Tie Downs are made for the slots in the Hauler's SmartDeck.

Doesn't Hauler already come with bungees?

Hauler comes with two small Bungees, which cover a single SmartBin or strapping a load to the SmartDeck. The Bungee Kit includes two more small as well as two large Bungees—the ones sized for a stacked load or bins.

When should I use a bungee?

Any time you're off smooth, level ground. Sand, grass, gravel and anything that pitches will move a load that would sit still on pavement—as will two or three SmartBins stacked, or a bin riding on top of a cooler.

Which bungee do I use for what?

The small Bungee is sized for a single SmartBin, or tying one bin to the bin above it. The large Bungee is the one for a stack—it spans two or three SmartBins in a single run. The Bungee Kit includes two sets of each size.

Where do the Bungee hooks attach?

The Bungee hook is specially shaped to register with the Hauler frame, and it hooks into any of the slots running along the SmartDeck.

Can I connect two Veer Bungees together?

Yes. Each small Bungee has one link slot in the band, and each large Bungee has two. Those slots will take anything you need to hook into them, including another Bungee—so you can chain a longer run for an awkward or oversized load.

How do I use the Bungees from Veer safely?

Hook one end on before you stretch, and keep your face and body out of the line of the cord while you hook the other—a bungee that lets go under tension can hit you, so eye protection is smart.

Can I use my own bungee cords or straps on the Hauler?

Yes. The SmartDeck's slats and tie down holes are there for exactly that—a household bungee, rope, string, carabiner, whatever you've got. Veer's Bungees exist for a custom fit over the Hauler's frame and bins.

Do I need the High Performance Wheel Kit if my Cruiser or Hauler is already all-terrain?

Not usually. The standard soft-tread wheels handle pavement, grass and gravel well. This kit is for the ground beyond that—rock, root and washboard—and for loads that suffer from being shaken: a sleeping kid in a Cruiser, a dog, anything fragile.

Will the High Performance Wheel Kit fit my Cruiser or Hauler?

Yes. One kit fits any Cruiser or Hauler model, and works in push or pull. If you own both, the same set moves between them.

Are the High Performance Wheels the right wheels for towing behind a bike?

They are the ones we would put on. Bike speeds turn the occasional bump into repeated hits, and pneumatic tires absorb what solid ones might pass along—to the load and to the frame.

Do I need new fenders for the High Performance Wheel Kit?

No. If you're fitting these to a Cruiser, your standard fenders work with the pneumatic tires, so there's nothing else to buy—this kit doesn't include fenders. The Beach Wheel Kit does, because its larger balloon tires need them.

How much air do the High Performance Wheels for Hauler and Cruiser take?

28 psi (2.0 bar) in all four wheels, whether they're on the Hauler or Cruiser. Air-filled tires lose a little pressure over time, and a soft tire makes any load harder to move, so check them with a tire pressure gauge before a long or loaded day.

What do I do if I need to replace the tube in the High Performance Wheels from Veer?

Email, call or text, or start a chat with us and we'll help you get the right replacement part. In the meantime, the standard wheels that came with your Hauler or Cruiser are air-free and never go flat, so swap them back on and keep rolling.

How do I inflate High Performance Pneumatic Wheels for Cruiser and Hauler?

With the same hand or foot pump you use for bike tires or a soccer ball. Air-filled tires do need occasional topping up, which solid wheels do not—that is the trade for the ride quality.

What's the difference between Beach Wheels and High Performance Pneumatic Wheels from Veer?

Veer's Beach Wheels are large, balloon-shaped tires designed specifically for effortless pulling across sand, ideal for beach outings and used in pull mode only.

How do I swap the High Performance Wheels on and off?

The same way the standard wheels and Beach Wheels come on and off: press the release button and pull, or slide the wheel in until it clicks.

Can I push the Hauler with the High Performance Wheels on?

Yes, the High Performance Wheels work in push or pull. Past a certain point, though, it stops being a preference: tire pressure, load and terrain together make the call.

Will the Bike Connector Kit fit my bike?

It fits most bikes. The Bike Connector Kit is compatible with quick-release rear axles, and the bike axle mount is the only part that goes on your bike.

Can I tow my kids with the Bike Connector Kit?

No. The Hauler is for gear, and isn't child safety certified—towing it behind a bike doesn't change that. Keep passengers to the gear, and to a dog who settles in for the ride.

How does the Bike Connector Kit attach to my bike and Hauler?

At the bike, a quick-release skewer replaces the standard bolt on your rear axle and becomes the pivot point the tow arm hitches to. Fit it once, and it stays on your bike.

Do I have to remove the Hauler swivel wheels to tow with the Bike Connector Kit?

Yes, the swivel wheels come off for bike mode. Put them in the SmartBin and they travel with you. When you arrive, refit them and the Hauler works exactly as it did before, so you can cover the last stretch on foot.

Can I use the Bike Connector Kit with more than one bike?

The axle mount stays on whichever bike you fit it to. The tow arm and the Hauler receiver stay the same.

What does the Bike Connector Kit for Hauler do?

The Bike Connector Kit connects Hauler to your bike so you can turn it into a bike trailer for gear. The tow arm attaches from your bike's rear axle to the Hauler, while the swivel wheels ride along in the SmartBin and reattach when you arrive.

Do I need wagon-style steering to tow the Hauler with the Bike Connector Kit?

Bike towing works only with the Hauler in wagon-style steering, with the fixed axle at the back and where the swivel wheels go up front.

Which Hauler wheels work with the Bike Connector Kit?

Veer's Bike Connector Kit works with Hauler's standard wheels, Beach Wheel Kit and High Performance Wheel Kit.

Can I use Hauler normally after I arrive using the Bike Connector Kit?

Yes. The Hauler's swivel wheels travel with you in the SmartBin while you tow. When you arrive, unhitch the Bike Connector Kit, refit the wheels and push or pull Hauler to your destination.

How fast can I ride my bike with the Hauler attached using the Bike Connector Kit?

Ride like you're carrying something, because you are—an easy, controlled pace, slower with a heavy load, and a walking pace with a dog aboard.

Can I tow the Hauler behind an e-bike, golf cart or ATV?

Bicycles only. The Bike Connector Kit is built for the loads and speeds of pedaling, not for golf carts, ATVs, lawn tractors or any other motorized vehicle. On an e-bike, keep to the same easy pace you'd pedal.

Do I need to bungee the SmartBin when I'm towing with the Bike Connector Kit?

Yes—always, even on flat ground. Behind a bike, bumps come harder and faster, so hook a small bungee over every load before you hitch up.

Can I use the Bike Connector Kit with my Cruiser?

No. The kit fits the Hauler only, and no Veer product tows children behind a bike. Biking with gear (or a dog that isn't inclined to jump) is what the Hauler and Bike Connector Kit are for. For biking safely with your child, consider Switch&Bike.

What Veer frames work with the Garage Hanger?

Garage Hanger is compatible with any Switchback, Cruiser or Hauler when folded. Switchback hangs by the handle, while Cruiser and Hauler hang by the large wheel axle.

How many Garage Hangers do I need?

Garage Hanger can only mount one frame at a time, so it depends on how many frames you own whether Switchback, Hauler or Cruiser.

What kind of wall does the Garage Hanger mount to?

Wall studs or drywall. Where a hanger lines up with a stud, screw straight into it; where it doesn't, set drywall anchors first (not included).

How much weight does the Garage Hanger hold?

Any one folded Veer frame—Cruiser, Hauler or Switchback.

Can I hang the Hauler on Garage Hangers with a SmartBin on it?

Yes, if the bin is empty and folded flat with the Hauler's handle folded down on top of the bin.

How do I install the Garage Hanger from Veer?

It's a quick, one-person job with a drill and extra-long drill bit, Phillips screwdriver and a level.

Is Garage Hanger included with the Hauler?

No, it's sold separately. The Garage Hanger box holds two Veer hanger brackets and four screws. One Garage Hanger set holds one folded frame: Hauler, Cruiser or Switchback.

Do the wheels stay on when I hang the Hauler?

What size dog does the Large Dog Pad fit?

The Large Dog Pad comfortably fits most breeds up to roughly a Labrador or Golden Retriever. At 32.5" x 16.5", we recommend measuring your dog when lying down or their current bed to confirm fit.

Does the Dog Pad go on the SmartDeck, or inside a SmartBin?

Either. Strapped to the SmartDeck it is an open bed—the best view, the easiest to climb onto and the right setup for a dog who wants to watch where you're going.

Can an older dog get on the Dog Pad by themselves?

That is what the open option is for. Three sides have a raised bolster to lean on; the fourth has none, so it is a step up rather than a climb over.

Is it safe for my dog to ride on the Large Dog Pad?

Yes, with some sense about it. Strap the pad tight to the SmartDeck before you roll, or bungee the SmartBin to the Hauler if your dog is riding in one. Keep the pace to a walk, and never leave your dog aboard unattended.

How does the Dog Pad stay secure while moving?

Straps on the underside of the pad thread down through the tie down points in the SmartDeck and fasten back on themselves underneath, so the pad is cinched to the SmartDeck rather than resting on it.

Does the Large Dog Pad fit Cruiser?

No. The Large Dog Pad is designed specifically for Hauler and is not compatible with Cruiser. Its underside straps directly to Hauler's SmartDeck slots, so it is custom built to the Hauler frame rather than Cruiser.

What is the Large Dog Pad?

The Large Dog Pad from Veer is a washable dog bed specially designed for Hauler. Strap it to the bare SmartDeck for an open-air ride, with a low single step-up that makes boarding easier for older or shorter-legged dogs.

Can I use Veer Hauler as a dog stroller?

Yes. The Large Dog Pad turns the Hauler into a comfortable dog stroller for walks and family outings. Strap it to the SmartDeck for an open-air ride, or set it inside a Large SmartBin for a more enclosed space.

Can I carry dog gear or other gear and use the Large Dog Pad at the same time?

For that, you would add a Small SmartBin to the Dog Pad and Large SmartBin—for two reasons. The Small SmartBin gives you somewhere for the leash, water bowl and towels that is not underneath the dog.

Is the Large Dog Pad washable?

The Dog Pad cover comes off and goes in the washing machine—a regular or speed cycle with normal laundry detergent. Air dry it, or tumble dry on low heat on a delicate cycle. The 600D nylon base wipes down.

Can I use the Large Dog Pad while towing Hauler behind a bike?

Yes—when towing Hauler behind a bike using the Bike Connector Kit, set the pad inside a Large SmartBin and bungee it to the Hauler frame.

Can I clip my dog's leash to the Hauler?

No—never. Keep the leash in your hand or clipped to you, keep the pace to a walk and never leave your dog aboard unattended. The Large Dog Pad and SmartBin's walls are what keep the ride steady; the leash is for the walk.

Is there a weight limit for the Large Dog Pad from Veer?

There's no separate limit for the pad—the Hauler frame's rating covers everything aboard. Fit is the real question: at 32.5" x 16.5", the Large Dog Pad suits most breeds up to about a Labrador or Golden Retriever.

Does the Large Dog Pad fit in a Small SmartBin?

No. It's sized for the Large SmartBin and for the SmartDeck. A Small SmartBin's job in a dog setup is to stack on the Large one, containing the leash, water bowl and towels and closing in one more side of the den.
