How do I ship Veer Valet to a hotel?Updated 13 hours ago
Planning ahead is the best way to ensure a smooth delivery when shipping to a hotel, resort or similar property. Here's what to know before your trip.
Reach out before you travel
Every property handles guest shipments differently. Before your trip, we recommend reaching out to the property and confirming two things: 01) do they accept packages on behalf of guests, and 02) where are deliveries typically held for pickup. This is especially important if you're arriving after the front desk closes or your Veer Valet Travel Bag is scheduled to arrive before you do.
Important: ask about onsite FedEx locations
We recommend specifically asking whether the property routes guest shipments to an onsite FedEx Office (hotels in major metro areas may handle all incoming packages this way, regardless of carrier or sender). If they do, your Veer Valet Travel Bag may be held at that FedEx location rather than the property, and a handling fee may be charged by FedEx upon pickup that is not covered by your Veer Valet Token.
The same usually applies at these properties when shipping your Veer Valet Travel Bag back home at checkout. Confirm with the property whether pickup will also be through the onsite FedEx Office and subject to another handling fee.
Prefer to avoid a handling fee?
If your hotel routes shipments through FedEx Office and you'd rather not pay a handling fee, you have a couple alternatives:
- Ship to a trusted contact. A family member, friend or neighbor near your destination can receive the Veer Valet Travel Bag on your behalf.
- Ship to a local carrier store. You can ship directly to a nearby FedEx or UPS location for secure pickup. Most locations will hold shipments for up to five (5) business days before returning them, though some may charge a nominal daily storage fee (call in advance to confirm).
